The COVID 19 pandemic that is currently overwhelming the world was first identified in Wuhan City, Hubei Province in China in December 2019 (Sohrabi et al., 2020) . Symptoms that characterize the condition include respiratory discomfort, fever, and damages to the lungs. At its onset, about 50 people visited various health facilities with these symptoms. The precise origin of the condition has not yet been known, but it is believed to be a sequencer of a genetic virus known as “Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2” (SARS-CoV-2). The World Health Organization officially pronounced the pandemic on March 11, 2020, and emphasized the significance of preparing health systems (Sohrabi et al., 2020) . The influence of the virus on health was validated concerning treatment diagnosis that depended on medical skills internationally acknowledged as a professional qualification.

How the statement is linked to a health inequity/disparity within the target population

The target population for this study included men and women aged 40-65 years from Rutherford County. The community health diagnosis statement could be linked to health disparity among the target population due to the discrimination posed against the minority ethnic groups, poorer social backgrounds, and vulnerability of the individuals in the reception of care. The COVID 19 pandemic has exposed these disparities in the reception of health existing among the target population. Consequently, the unjust effect on mortality rates has been noted among the discriminated groups in society, especially those from poor backgrounds. The disparity in health during the COVID-19 is worsened by the combining determinants that expose an individual to contract the disease, thus imposing a disease burden to the less privileged in the community. Moreover, the current regulations in the federal government have allowed the COVID-19 to discriminate against minorities.

The primary community resources and primary prevention resources currently in place to address the health concern

To address the COVID-19 health concern, the community has regulated that all sick individuals and workers should be exempted from the usual obligations or meetings. Everybody should cultivate the behavior of washing their hands with secure water and soaps and sanitize regularly. The surfaces surrounding the individual habitations should also be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Also, the community has directed that the institutions should access sufficient water, sanitation, and waste management facilities and adhere to environmental hygiene and other relevant procedures to bar the spread of the virus. Moreover, social distancing should be adhered to and overcrowding discarded.

If an individual in the community becomes unwell by chance, the closest acquaintances should liaise with health authorities and utilize the emergency call provided to reach the caregivers promptly. Besides, all the members of society should be sensitized to the symptoms such as coughing, fever, respiratory difficulties, and others associated with COVID-19.

The underlying causes of the health concern

Generally, adults of any age with severe illness are more exposed to contracting COVID-19. Therefore, they need hospitalization, emergency care, proper ventilation to enhance their breathing since the condition could lead them to death if not responded to promptly and effectively. Moreover, elderly adults ranging from the ages of 45-65 and above are more vulnerable to COVID-19, and their death is prevalent after contraction. Also, the existing disparities have led to many groups of individuals contracting and succumbing to the pandemic due to the discrimination they experience in obtaining the relevant care. The disparity has also affected people with disabilities who are hampered from accessing health services effectively. Moreover, individuals with chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidneys, neurological conditions, and other disorders become more severely ill after acquiring the virus either through sneezing or coughing.

The evidence-based practices associated with the field experience

The experience in the world stomped by the coronavirus pandemic has incurred mental health conditions following the physical distancing, stigma and discrimination, and termination of work contracts imposed by the pandemic. Post-traumatic care disorders, anxiety, depression, and lack of sleep have affected both the caregivers and people of all ages and sex. As a result, many online mental health services have been created, and social media is utilized to offer mental health instructions.

Data about the selected field experience topic from the local, state, and/or national level

Social media can promote behaviors such as staying at home, washing hands often within a day, and reaching out to the healthcare providers immediately after suspecting the COVID-related symptoms.

improve the health message related to the selected field experience topic

To improve the health message related to mental health, the ministry of health needs to launch particular disease control measures and propagate them to the public through social media. 3. The appropriate social media platform for communicating with the target population and its benefit

The elderly adults of 45, 65 years, and above may indicate more anxiety symptoms depending on social media to obtain the COVID-19 related information. Various social media may yield confusion to these individuals rather than sensitizing them sufficiently concerning the pandemic. To benefit more from the media in acquiring crucial information, elderly adults need to be educated on media. Nevertheless, Facebook could be an appropriate social media platform for this population since it requires no much education and would alleviate their anxiety in the reception of information and enhance the effective sharing of information by the population on the Facebook platform.

How the target population will benefit from the health message

The population would understand the necessities and the exposure at which they are regarding their right to health. The message will also enable them to realize the highest mortality rates among the older adults who have an existing chronic illness, thus responding promptly to the measures put in place. Moreover, the information provided has exposed the vulnerability of health systems to support the target population and consider their special needs.

Stakeholder roles and responsibilities in implementing the plan

The stakeholders are mandated to formulate plans and regulations that would facilitate the efficiency of the organization. Therefore they can alter the work setting for the organization and approve the modification that would enhance the social media campaigns. Additionally, the employees, who are the external stakeholders, would play a vital role in marketing plans and facilitate the propagation of the relevant information.

Potential public and private partnerships that could be formed to aid in the implementation of the campaign

The potential public and private partnership that could be formed to aid in implementing the campaign could be the association between the government and a private sector company that can be utilized to sponsor various projects. This cooperation is important because it would ensure that any project launched would take the shortest time possible to complete.

The specific timeline for implementing the campaign

There is no specific time for implementing the social media campaign, but the general process is facilitated after creating an independent calendar. What is more, they should consider sharing the information to the important hours when the target audience is online.

Evaluating the effectiveness of the campaign

For the selected social media in this study, Facebook, the effectiveness can be measured following the number of likes that the post earns, impressions, the population that has viewed the post, and the audience’s interaction in the post. Their comments and shares also prove how effective the campaign has been.

Cost of implementing the campaign

For the COVID-19 pandemic, the social media implementation campaign comes with a relatively lower cost since many people have been actively engaging online following the lockdown and quarantines.
