SWOT Analysis 

Strengths 

Strong brand name: Acquella is a captivating name has gained eminent popularity considering it has another affiliate company. The use of an organic strategy for water treatment is another major strength of the company’s brand. 

Customer oriented strategy : Acquella aims at solving some of the problems that customers undergo because of their use of chemical treatment methodologies. This puts the company in a better position than its competitors. 

Government support : As mentioned, both the government and the public have identified the scarcity of water resources. For this reason, the government facilitates the application of appropriate methodologies in the water treatment processes. Acquella has a good competitive edge over its competitors because both the national government and local municipalities have started enforcing laws and fines for businesses that do not have natural targets. 

Weaknesses 

Competition: Notably, there are many local and regional players in the market. These might make it difficult for the company to acquire a significant market share. 

Easy market entry and imitation: The water purification or treatment industry is easier to access because the business can be quickly established. This acts as a primary weakness for Acquella because some of its competitors will start imitating the product. 

Opportunities 

Need for clean water: Currently, there is an increased need for clean water throughout the world. This is an opportunity for Acquella to distribute its products. 

Global market: Acquella also has the opportunity of accessing the international markets. The latter is possible considering that it is offering an organic and unique water purifier. 

Better competitive edge: As mentioned, Acquella is in a better position than its competitors for offering an organic water treatment product are. 

Employee Enhancement : Empowerment of staff and agents will play an eminent role in boosting the sales of the product. They will adopt pertinent skills and knowledge to convince customers on the benefits associated with Acquella hence winning their trust and loyalty. 

Threats 

New entrants: this occurs as the primary threat for Acquella because the market is easily penetrable. The entry of new players in the market might reduce Acquella’s market share. 

Changes in Technology: The ever-evolving nature of technology threatens the future of the company given that new and better ways may be established in the purification of water. If the company fails to adopt them or later unlike the competitors, the prospects of success will be reduced ( WaterWorld (n.d.) . 

Leadership is among the primary factors that are affecting the water treatment industry. There is the need to provide guidance towards implementing the most appropriate mechanisms to for the well-being of both the customers and the environment. Through innovation, Acquella stands out above its competitors as a leader by introducing the organic water purifier. By applying a customer-oriented strategy, Acquella will have the ability to offer exemplary customer support especially after training and fostering its employees.

Notably, Acquella will offer a significant economic benefit. First, the company will provide dozens of small businesses that can support the local customers and provide jobs on a national level. This will contribute towards boosting the country’s GDP level. The government and local municipalities have enacted laws that regulate the use of chemicals in the process of treating scarce water resources ( WaterWorld (n.d.) . 

For instance, the federal government is implementing fines on entities that fail to meet their natural targets. Additionally, there are various environmental and health policies that ensure that entities implement appropriate mechanisms for the well-being of the ecosystem and consumers. Acquella has integrated these factors in their business model to foster its competitive edge. Notably, most of Acquella’s competitors do not foster environmental conservation in their production strategies. Some cannot offer the necessary volumes required by the business. 

Evidently, Acquella is flexible enough because it adapts to change. Since Acquella has support from its parent entity WaterTech Inc., the former can easily transform some of its operations to meet its set target ( WaterWorld (n.d.) . One of the primary notions that illustrate the entity’s adaptability to change is training of its sales and marketing team. The step is necessary because it will enable the members to attract many customers to the new product. Additionally, through research, innovation, and development the entity has developed a new product that will play an essential role in meeting the new government regulations and demands for environmental conservation. 

The agency system as a supply chain model is appropriate, and Acquella must implement. This will be spread across all states in the US. The agency points will function as the first point of contact with the customers. The agents will also be responsible for conducting all sales as well as wastewater treatment actions in their respective regions WorldBank.org (n.d.) . Additionally, Acquella will enhance the supply chain by providing these agencies with essential training, laboratory testing services, and technical services. Among the primary plans for improving the supply chain of the new business, the division is providing marketing material including branded merchandise and posters. The entity will also conduct national marketing campaigns to educate people on the significance of wastewater treatment and Acquella as an ideal player. It also aims at providing cash and stock option incentives to the agencies for meeting and surpassing their targets. 

Among the primary issues facing the new business is facilitating customer awareness of the product. As mentioned, the entity aims at increasing the commodities’ market base among all states across the United States. As a result, the company is faced with the task of marketing the product to attract potential customers in the heavily flooded market. However, the company has a major opportunity that provides it with a significant competitive edge. First, Acquella is an organic and environment-friendly commodity hence it contributes to the conservation of the eco-system. Additionally, the product does not require any special equipment for its application. These factors provide Acquella high chances of gaining eminent hold of the market.
