New practice approaches 

I have learned of how new practices approaches like adopted evidence-based practice that has improved quality of service to patients and efficiency in performance among healthcare workers. 

Interprofessional collaboration 

I was able to understand how interprofessional collaboration among the diverse cadres as practice being implemented within the industry is responsible for effectiveness in diagnosis and treatment of diseases allowing limiting error in medication. 

Health care delivery and clinical systems 

I was able to learn how health care delivery and clinical systems have become instrumental in integration of all professions, health facilities, government agencies, private institutions and clients for health care services and how they ensure ease of access to data and information on healthcare. 

Ethical considerations in health care 

I understood the tenets of the four ethical principles of non-maleficence, beneficence, autonomy and justice which must be given absolute priority and upheld at all times in service delivery 

Practices of culturally sensitive care 

In an increasing diverse world, I learned the importance of health workers learning other cultures in order to build trustworthiness in delivering culturally sensitive services to diversity of patients. 

Ensuring the integrity of human dignity in the care of all patients 

In this topic, I learned to consider human dignity as a right for all humans and not a privilege and must be embraced as a key feature of quality service delivery. 

Population health concerns 

I was able to understand how public health should be aimed at improving the wellbeing of the human population through policies, practices and interventions as the core goal of health care. 

The role of technology in improving health care outcomes 

In contemporary public health, like in other disciplines, I learned how technology has also been implemented to improve outcomes, this has been achieved through enhancing communication and easing access to information 

Health policy 

I learned the importance of public health being be in the fore front in formulating health policy that affect patients and health workers, this ensures regulations should not exclude providers of services. 

Leadership and economic models 

Leadership is critical in public health spaces, I understood how strong leaders in the sector ensure that voices of patients and service providers is heard in platforms and health economic models aimed at transforming healthcare at local, national and global level, 

Health disparities 

I learned how disparities exist among different ethnicities, communities and populations and how public health show focus on eliminating health disparities that exist in society and ensure equity in healthcare.
