Nursing is one of the quick growing and eccentric careers in the world. Nursing enables one to, directly and indirectly; work with people either by helping them achieve a longer life or putting in place measures that will enable them to achieve it in good health. The quick evolving of healthcare sector makes the level of healthcare knowledge important in employing nurses. Though the demand for nurses has rapidly increased, the healthcare organizations are basing on the level of one's education for employment. Is therefore important for the development of nursing to enable the nurses to attain much higher standards of the field work.
According to the Florida Center for Nursing annual report of 2016, the education level and attainment in the nursing sector is a topic of discussion nationally (Florida center for nursing, 2017). However, the report suggested the increment of employment of nurses with a master degree or higher by 2020. It also showed that the number of an employed nurse with doctorate degrees has significantly increased. Nonetheless, the report brings on board some of the recommendations that have to be adopted to ensure advancement in nursing to attain a high degree. Some of them include; continued learning education system where educational programs are provided for nurses who may be remotely located and cannot access structured classes (Florida center for nursing, 2017). This system may be effective if the application of technology is well used, the satellite-based communication can be used to provide the distance learning solution. Also, technology can be used by the application of computers to provide cost-effective and well-organized methods of delivering information both for practicing nurses and nursing students.

The other factor to be adopted is providing interdisciplinary collaboration where students are provided with the opportunity to interact with experts from the environmental health sector including industrial hygiene, toxicology and sanitation fields (National academy of science, 2017). This can boost students’ knowledge of the environmental health matters. The continuity of encouraging the nurses to further their studies by providing them enough time for their studies after work, providing educational loans and bursaries may also be effective for the development of a higher degree in the nursing sector. Another essential thing is providing a formative and appropriate curriculum content that will meet the evolving education system (Bartleby.com, 2016). It’s also important for the government and institutions to reduce the restriction on the continuity of studies in the nursing sector to encourage more practicing nurses to pursue further education level. The government should also provide institutional support for continuing education in health for nurses to join such programs and school of nursing to be able to develop adequately and develop enough programs to provide the training (Bartleby.com, 2016).
It’s, therefore, important to note that the only opportunity in transforming health care system is by promoting and supporting the educational development of nursing. However, this role is distributed among every individual including the government, business fraternity, healthcare organizations, and the insurance industry. Together, the advancement in nursing to attain a higher degree can be easily achieved, and the healthcare care sector will be able to provide quality services to every individual.
