The Mrs. Farmer case includes patient’s need to determine their own medical care. Conflicts arise where the medical teams including the doctor are interested to see her undergo a further examination of the acute myocardial infarction. This comes after her experience of heart attack issues. The doctor and nurses end up recognizing that they would better respect the need and wishes of the patient rather than focusing on the disease its self. Normally, the medical fraternity especially the nurse would regard her as the patient since she is need of close medical attention despite her beliefs. The intervention of the nurse top the case and ability of the patient to make own decisions means she has the ability to make well though the informed status of the patient as they can make their own decisions. Moreover, even in the case of frustration, the nurses must hold on to their external and feeling ( Salmela and Nystrom, 2017 . The nursing practice involves direct service to individuals in need of preventive, health promotion, and care for the ill people (Edelman, Mandle and Kudzma, 2017) . Nurses offer care services to the people visiting the healthcare centers.

The study involved staff from eight units in an organization where both the open-ended and closed questions are applied. More than half of the respondents preferred to use the term patient while one-fifth of them applied the term customer (Salmela and Nystrom, 2017) . Moreover, more than a quarter of respondents used a combination of both terms simultaneously. A Generally, the Patient term is used in reference to the people under illness suffering and thus need care. The term also applies to need for a more responsible approach, attention, and care. On the other hand, the term customer is generally used to refer to healthy people seeking medical services to examine their health status such as disease testing. The motive behind the use of the term patient comes from the responsibility, dependency, uniqueness, and dignity whereas the customer is used on the basis of self-determination and equality values. The reference nature and behavior of the nurses is based on their efforts and attention to the clients they have in the hospitals. This helps them to make a great show of humanity where they recognize the persons they attend to more than the illness they treat (Salmela and Nystrom, 2017) .
