The motivations for the exploration and the settling of new world colonies were: 

expansion of trade to improve their economy, 

spreading of the Christian faith, 

glory for personal interests like discovering new land. 

The two things that settlements accomplished in the colonies were the successes of James Town and the gaining of 13 colonies. 

The three factors that influenced Chattel Slavery were the need for cheap labor, the desire for cotton, and the systematic racism.

Slave codes were a set of rules that were based on the concept that slaves were property and not people. The laws were established to protect the property and the owners from slave violence. 

The Northern and southern colonies evolved into two separate societies because of their climate. The North was established for religious freedom because it was colder and not beneficial for farming while the South was established for economic freedom because it had rich soils and colonies there could have rich farms.

The revolutionary ideas had a major effect on the attitudes about slavery. Many slave owners chose to free their slaves for ethical and moral reasons afterwards. 

There were few slaves during in British North America during the colonial period. However, employers later indentured servants who increased price of labor and the servants were unable to pay off their debts. Slavery later became a chance for financial increase where slaves produced cheap labor. 

The anti-slavery movement begun with the abolitionist movement that advocated for a social and political push for the emancipation of slavery and ending of racial segregation. It was fueled by a religious fervor in the Great Awakening. 

The parallels between the Patriot movement and movement to free slaves were that they were both involved in fighting so that they could be able to free themselves from oppression. 

The main reason that caused the French-Indian War was the superpower competition that took place between France and Britain.
