Amazon is one of the leading online shops in the world. Amazon is a well-established company that does the sale of different materials online (Amazon, 2018) . The company has a wide network of customers due to its efficiency in operations. One of its most important operational activities is the product ordering and processing services. When an individual orders a product online, the company receives an alert via an email address. The staff in this level of operation copies and pastes the data into the company database where the data is stored. If shipping is involved in this order, the staff sends this data to the invoicing department where a private invoice and a UPS label is mad (Amazon, 2018) e. After this process that company staff sends another email to confirm the shipping then assemble the packaging and ship according to the details inserted into the database. The process then ends. In case there was no shipping involved in this order, the process ends immediately inserting order details into the database.
The ordering process has different operational purposes, but some are more important than others because they provide more important information (Amazon, 2018) . Operational data is required to enable the whole process to take place. The data entry level is the most important process in the flowchart. For an order to be sent to the right customer, the staff at this point in the process must input the right information of the customer. Retrieving emails so that the order to be sent is very important too because confusing email addresses can lead to wrong deliveries.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Operational data also gets very important at the invoice processing stage (Wisard, 2016) . Employees at this stage rely on properly inserted data so that they can send invoices to the right customers. If a wrong invoice is made, the deliveries can be wrong to which might lead to general loss to the company (Wisard, 2016) .
For such processes to be efficient and accurate, Amazon has invested in different management tools. The company owns high-end servers that are able to withhold a lot of customer data at a time since they receive many orders in a minute. Additionally, there are very first computers to be used to respond to customers requests without slowing down.
