Sports broadcasters are therefore one of the most important people in this big population who have a big interest in sports. American Sportscasters Association took it to as their responsibility to support and represent the needs and interests of member broadcasters (Sports Market Place Directory, 2007). The Association has an opportunity of expanding more in the international market. Sports are an international phenomenon. Indeed, many people watch international games and even travel thousands of miles to participate or attend such games.
The proposed project for the American Sportscasters Association is to tap more talent from all over the world to enhance diversity in the association as well as improve their work and the members' work by linking them with people in different countries who participate in sports. This project would provide the need for more detailed information for sports being held outside America as a native sports broadcaster from the host country would understand the events better. Additionally, the project will enable better interaction with the people and the environment the international sports are being held due to the availability of members of the Association at the host country. The project will also improve interviews with international sports professionals as well as feedback from the fans there as well as from other countries. The Association's member-sports broadcasters can share information from the different countries as well as deliver it to the listeners as it will be more detailed and reliable since it will be from people who understand the country where the event was held better.

The goals of this project will be to provide better quality and quantity of information for the audience of sports broadcasters who are members of the American Sportscaster Association, to expand the boundaries of the Association and to promote diversity. It must be noted that diversity is a significant measure of the success of an organization in the current world (Walter, 2014). The requirements of the project will be finding out big sports broadcasting talents in countries where the Association needs to expand to and to recruit them into the Association. After that, the Association will establish premises in the different countries to enhance its expansion. Some television and radio stations, newspapers and magazines specialize entirely in sports news. Others, however, have programs that run at different hours bringing the people sports news. A lot of newspapers also have segments for sports. Almost every country in the world has players participating in international sports or at least fans who watch and support international teams. The sports that are most loved in the world include association football which is also known as soccer, cricket, field hockey, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, baseball, golf, basketball, and American football. The sport with the most fans all over the world is, however, association football (Nielsen Sports, 2016). The sports has most fans and participants in Africa particularly in countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, and South Africa who also have players who are doing very well in the international teams. Spain is the country with most association football lovers in Europe. Other nations with many association football lovers include Argentina, Indonesia, Mexico, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Italy, Brazil, Poland among others.
The popularity of different sports varies from one continent to another. For example, basketball is most popular in America. Baseball is also most popular in America but also in Japan. Golf has most participants in Europe, Asia, America, and Canada respectively. Cricket is mostly played in Asia, Australia, and the UK. Field hockey, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball have most participants in Europe and also some parts of Asia and Africa. For the broadcaster's work to be effective, they have to understand their target audience (Murray, 2016). They have to know what the people within their area of coverage love. A person who belongs at a place can understand the people better more than one who just knows the people through reading about them. This is why the American Sportscasters Associations needs to incorporate broadcasters from different continents for them to help each other develop great stories for their audience.
Different people have different teams that they support internationally as well as locally. The fans also have players that they love most. The fans will always enjoy exclusive interviews with these players or coaches of their best football teams. They also enjoy live games and analysis of past games as well as that of performances of the different teams. Sports broadcasters, therefore, play a crucial role in providing the fans with this kind of information. This exclusive interviews can best be conducted by broadcasters who understand the origin of the player well. A broadcaster sharing the same nationality with the player can, therefore, be most suitable for such interviews. This would get the audience more satisfied as well as the broadcaster's work excellent hence developing their career.
