Analysis of the films "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" and "The Jazz Singer"

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921)

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921) film can be classified as an epic war movie which was produced by Metro Pictures Corporation. The film is considered as among the original anti-war films due to the cultural effect thus became recognized around 1921. June Mathis is the grain behind the movie, and it made the film to be recognized by the Library of Congress due to the aesthetic, cultural and historical significance it played. When Mathis was writing the film, she was directed by belief in spiritualism. It is in the Book of Revelation where it is indicated on the coming of the four horsemen. The movie is acted in real life situation showing what will be happening during the end times. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was later changed to move along with the Second World War settings and was directed by Vincente Minnelli. The movie is still popular and significant to the believers. 

The Jazz Singer 1927 

I have learnt that this week’s movie was a melodrama, and even if the movie did not represent the first portion of the people making noise it was a transition between quiet movies and that noisy ones. The movie largely talks about things that happen nowadays such as a mother reconsolidating with a father that was earlier on viewed and one that could not yield anything for the mother and son. However, many people have the notion that the jazz movie marked the end of “pre cinema” especially historians. The story that was given had a very different view with that of the black Americans shows but very fascinating.
