Annexes to Severe Winter storms and Hurricanes in Enfield

Enfield town has been experiencing severe winter storms and hurricanes for very many years. Those calamities have left a trail of massive devastation in the entire urban area whenever they occur. This document is prepared with a view of defining Enfield program to identify, prepare, make the appropriate response, and recovery whenever severe winter storms and hurricanes occur. The primary body to undertake the two hazards or threat specific annexes is the Enfield Town Council Department for Disaster Management. The document starts by highlighting the roles played by every stakeholder both on an individual and organizational level. On a personal capacity, one is supposed to respond within the shortest time possible to the alarm raised about the occurrence of a winter storms or hurricane in an area under the jurisdiction of Enfield town. 

He/she is also supposed to facilitate other duties assigned by the head of the department in responding to the two disasters and evacuating residents. On the organizational level, the Department of Disaster Management in Enfield town needs to develop a proper mechanism that will allow timely response and evacuation of citizens whenever severe winter storms and hurricanes occur. During such emergencies, the body is supposed to deploy personnel and necessary resources to ensure that as little damage as possible occurs(Stallings, JD & Faust, JD, 2009). The department can also rely on pre-emergency reports to make necessary plans on how to respond and evacuate as many Enfield residents as possible. To develop the concept of operations, the Department of Disaster Management needs to assess severe winter storm and hurricane threats to come up with proper response strategies. First, it needs to recognize possible occurrence or signs of the two disasters within the area under the jurisdiction of Enfield town. Secondly, the department should develop a unique response mechanism aimed at preventing massive devastation within the locality.
