I read a lot of articles concerning bullying, and that is how I came to learn about the anti-bullying social movement. Its fame has grown because of the internet as well as social media which have played a huge role in increasing awareness concerning bullying.
The anti-bullying movement has been instrumental in fighting against bullying in schools. This is their main agenda which has defined this social movement. This movement has been addressing all bullying incidences and activities that have been reported to authorities (Wang, 2011). It has also brought to the limelight the reluctance of school administrators in dealing with bullying incidences. It has been using the internet and various social media to advance its agenda. Furthermore, the anti-bullying movement has been struggling to help schools create an empathy culture which solves the cause of bullying. The movement solely focuses on bullying and related activities in schools.
