Digital goods are commercial products that are stored, delivered, and used in an electronic method. Such products are shipped electronically to consumers through download or email or used directly on an online platform such as YouTube. Digital products are subject to issues such as theft of copyrights, and thus, corporations deploy security measures using encrypting or renting out through subscription techniques. The paper will discuss renting out digital goods through subscriptions as a future trend of protecting capitalistic property relations. 

E-commerce has been evolving in the digital market. The subscription-based model is viewed by Hein et al. (2019) has one of trade that will continue to gain momentum in the digital industry of goods and services. The main reason is caused by companies' shift from one-time purchases to the need for recurrent revenue models. The utilization of mechanism is coupled with trends characterized by constant improvement in local and diverse markets based on buyers’ preferences. Liu et al. (2018) a rgue that the current subscription growth stands at 77% online sales. From the analysis, one views that the future of online subscriptions is bound to increase even further in the future. Notably, in the last 12 months, one view that the amount of revenue consumers spend on online services and software has increased from $6 to $ 56 ( Hein et al., 2019) . The trend is contributed by widespread usage of tools such as Thank You page found in most digital platforms. Such kind of marketing strategies has the potential to increase the value of subscription among buyers. Subscription as a method of renting out digital products will also rise due to constant improvement of payment methods such as Visa and Credit cards. The payment methods account for 70% of digital payments used globally ( Abeliansky & Hilbert, 2017) . The systems have eased subscriptions making it the most effective way of renting digital products.

In conclusion, the renting of digital products through subscription will dominate digital commerce due to improvements in payment methods globally, shifting companies from a one-time purchase to a recurring value.
