Present a recent claim you heard uttered by a public figure that is questionable regarding its truth value. Determine and explain which of the three theories for determining truth might best describe their belief in the claim.

Correspondence Theory is a perspective that considers thoughts or people's statements valid in situations where they are provable in their actual realities. World facts can be helpful in the elaboration of such sentiments or thoughts ( Wang, 2018) . When a person claims something but fails to connect to reality, the correspondence theory disapproves of such information. The modern lifestyle of people serves as examples in supporting the use of this theory. Bernard Sanders is an example of public figures whose recent claims are justifiable by using the correspondence theory.

Sen. Bernie Sanders' very recent move to push for a resolution that will disapprove the sale of arms by the United States to Israel can help illustrate the correspondence theory. The senator claims that the move promotes the armament of Israel, and this enhances more conflict ( Alemany, 2021 ). The argument is personal and can be questionable by the government. When using the correspondence theory to evaluate Bernie Sanders' claim, there will be a need to look at the relationship between the existing conflict in the region. The reality is that there is a violation of Palestinians' rights by the Israeli government ( Alemany, 2021 ). The selling of arms to the country may cause more deaths than those reportable in the recent clash. The theory, therefore, leads to the elaboration of truth in Bernie Sanders's statement.

In general, the use of the correspondence theory in evaluating Bernard Sanders' statement about selling weapons to Israel leads to the elaboration of world reality. The existence of such a reality is an indication that the senator is right. Examples of current events that elaborate on the conflict include violation of the Palestines' rights. Death represents such violations that are controllable by preventing Israel from accessing weapons from the United States of America. Facts in such a situation include the rise in deaths due to the conflict.
