Assessing employee performance within a healthcare organization entails analyzing the level of client satisfaction and employee commitment to delivering quality care and services. According to Huber (2014), by evaluating the nurses' skills and knowledge, a healthcare organization can monitor the level of staff productivity. Thus, a healthcare organization invests in its human resources to ensure that nursing care is improved and fulfills the company's productivity objectives. Productivity within the health organization refers to how spending on hospital services, drugs, and nursing care is equitable to the real output over a given period. Therefore, the conventional methods of measuring productivity are examined through the evaluation of the spending injected in health goods and services.

Employee productivity is crucial in the management of a healthcare facility as it ensures that clients receive quality care and services, while the organization achieves its primary objectives. Thus, nurse leaders must cultivate a work environment that is not only conducive but also enhances teamwork and effective communication between staff. This will ensure that the nursing team does not suffer from fatigue due to being overworked or function ineffectively due to broken communication channels. Healthcare organizations must ensure that their medical teams have sufficient support that improves job satisfaction to increase employee commitment and dedication. Thus, when employees are satisfied by their roles and responsibilities in the health organization, they are able to offer improved services to the patients, which results in positive health outcomes (Huber, 2014). Clear communication and collaboration between healthcare leaders are imperative since healthcare management can function as one body to ensure that employees have a positive workplace. Furthermore, increasing job satisfaction among employees decreases turnover by improving job retention.
