This ensures that employees can utilize their abilities to the maximum thereby producing better results. Focusing on personal abilities also enables people to discover new talents that can be utilized in both personal and professional life.

The effectiveness of a leadership style is determined by the results produced and the number of followers it can get. Ethics largely influences authentic leadership. An authentic leader should be able to apply ethics in diverse fields to achieve positive results. One of the areas that leaders are applying ethics is in the hiring process ( Banks et al. 2016). Hiring should be based on merit rather than personal bias or preference. Openness guides authentic leadership and, therefore, employees should be able to understand the purpose of their work, remuneration pattern as well as the organization’s goals.
