The implementation of the corporate values and reorganization of work in the financial service center is acceptable. The subsidiary is having trouble establishing the main values as expected by the headquarters. The reason behind it is the fact that the Head Office is unfamiliar with the Indian culture and the framework of the workplace. The headquarters’ intention, therefore, is to implement their plan without having any adjustments. As a result, a conflict of interest emerges between the head office and the employees at the Pharmaz India. The situation affects the overall performance of the organization. Due to the nature of the working environment in India, the subsidiary decides to implement new policies that suit their operations. The objective is to raise the local responsiveness and enhance the performance of the employees at the financial service center.

I would not have reacted any differently. The purpose of corporate values is to support the image and culture of the organization. The establishment of these values ensures that the entire firm runs smoothly. However, Denmark is a Western country, while India is from the East. The difference in the cultural structure of both countries is wide, and therefore, implementation of policies in India similar to those in Denmark would prove to be challenging. According to the case study, the employees in India require approval from their supervisors before they proceed with their assignments. One of the four teams in the financial service center is experiencing problems because the team members come from different backgrounds. The newest employee in the group, Shankar, comes from a Brahmin family, which is considered the highest-ranking caste according to the traditional Indian view. The scenario demonstrates the extent of cultural embracement in the country. A few adjustments to the corporate values of the organization would, therefore, be appropriate.
