It is false to state that qualitative research lacks the same rigor and objective standards required to produce outcomes that can give to the nursing knowledge base. To support the above claim, we ought to understand that rigor is the state of conducting a research with the intention of producing results that are exact, careful and thoroughly collected while being accurate (Cypress, 2017) . When conducting qualitative research, non-numerical data collection methods such as interviews, observation, and analysis of speaker notes are employed. A philosophical theory is developed using the collected data. The theory directs the questioning procedures utilized during the research, data assembly methods, and the collected data interpretation. The philosophical theory ensures that data collection follows a defined process, ensuring that data collected is accurate, exact, and demonstrates the participants' perspective. Therefore, qualitative research findings also add knowledge to the nursing base.
