Among the three programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, so far studied, I find PowerPoint most appealing and easy to learn. I have come to appreciate PowerPoint first due to the way it is presented in slide form. The slides are designed in such a way that they are self-directing thus making it easy to enter my content. Also, the fact that slides require summary points written in bullet form makes the content presented more attractive and appealing both to the user and audience. It is also interesting that I can include my speaker notes to use during my presentation without the audience accessing them. Moreover, I can make my PowerPoint presentation more appealing to my audience by designing my slides in an eye-catching manner as well as use different slide transition and animation styles. Despite the fact that PowerPoint requires basic knowledge of MS Word, one can as well print the slides as well as speaker notes for future hard-copy reference. Generally, the overall design of the PowerPoint program is easy to learn and use as opposed to Word and Excel programs which are more detailed and skill-intensive. These are the key features I have so far identified and mastered hence find myself stronger in PowerPoint than in Word and Excel.
I have also realized that Word and Excel programs are wide in terms of their scope and application hence require quite a lot of skills, knowledge, and practice. Therefore, so as to bolster my strength in these programs, I will have to dedicate more time to learning and practicing their uses and applicability using learning resources, application examples, and tutorials. During my free time, I will carry out online research to learn more features that are available in the two programs. I think perfection will come with more and more practice. I could also find the services of an expert to help me in areas that I will find difficulty.
