I am bothered by the working conditions at Foxconn plants. The organization seems to have good facilities for employees but they are hardly used since employees are overworked and therefore too tired to even use the facilities. One would conclude that they are available to only sell a positive working environment but they do not benefit the employees. I am worried that the production of a phone contributed to the death of a worker. The iPhones are always in demand and this exerts immense pressure on Foxconn to produce more. Since the workers are the primary source of labor, they are overworked to ensure that the targets are met. Such pressure, the hazards they face and a generally negative working environment are all in an effort to make the phone which eventually leads many of these workers to suicide.

80 percent of the blame should be carried by CEO Gou and Foxconn. These two entities are engaging with locals who need to benefit from the opportunities they offer. It is their corporate social responsibility. Furthermore, they should be more welcoming to these workers since they share a culture, political, social and economic backgrounds. Nonetheless, they take advantage of the labor they get from locals and offer them extremely low remunerations while overworking them. 20 percent of the blame should be carried by Apple leaders since they should be well-aware of what happens in their production chain ( Gandolfi & Stone, 2018) . To some extent, these workers are part of the Apple workforce since they do most of the work in production. They therefore deserve similar pay to employees who may not be working at Foxconn.

Apple may not have taken any responsibility in the harsh treatment of the Foxconn workers as the organization seems to act as an external party who may not be directly involved (Johnson, 2019). It is why its intervention is majorly research based and provides recommendations for Foxconn to adopt. Instead, Apple needs to acknowledge the part it plays in encouraging the harsh treatment experienced by the employees (Johnson, 2019). As recommended, it needs to offer more financial resources as its is well placed financially when compared to Foxconn. Such resources would ensure Foxconn can hire more employees to help meet the demand without overworking its personnel while providing deserved wages for the workers.
