Hello,

I agree with you on the importance of practicing integrity as a leader. It is important that leaders portray such values in their line of duty in all situations, either rough or easy times. Besides, Blackaby and Blackaby (2011) address the issue of power, position and personality that should be practiced by leaders. I also concur with Blackaby and Blackaby (2011) on avoiding the use of force by a leader, so as to achieve or meet a certain goal in the organization. Some of the actions can lead to a negative attitude by the subjects towards the leader. Therefore, patience and kindness should be applied by the leader in trying to achieve their objectives (2 Timothy 2:24, 25). You bring up a good point about ethics. A good leader should be ethically upright because they act role models. Good behavior is followed by respect. When the subjects respect their leader, goals can be easily achieved.

New International Version Bible. 2 Timothy 2:24, 25.

Hello,

I agree with you that power and position influence the way people lead others. People who have much power and higher position than others will always believe they are more advantageous than others. A good leader should not think that respect will be earned just because they have a higher position and title than others (Blackaby and Blackaby, 2011). People choose their leaders because they believe in them, and expect that they will make decisions not only for themselves, but also for the people. The misuse of power by leaders is unethical. I agree with you on the fact that leaders should be role models to their people. They should lead the way. Besides having wisdom as a leader, one should also be forgiving, kind and slow to anger and bitterness (Ephesians 4:31, 32). The Bible defines a good leader as an understanding and kind person, which I totally agree with.
