Abstract

The case scenario about the decision made by a couple of employees on the Hugh amount of money found on the cashier has posed a lot of contentious debates. The type of decision made by each worker might be contradictive to the decision made by the other one. However, this paper seeks to explore the moral philosophy of these employees at different angles.

Ethical challenges are one of the days to day challenges that have faced most of the employees in the workplace ( Beckett, et al., 2017 ). Although every business has a set of its principals, some enterprises have pressed workers on the wall, enforcing rules, that turn the employees go against their ethics and moral behavior. According to Hausman et al. (2016), the type of decision made in the workplace highly is characterized by the experience of an employee. In this aspect, the use of teleology has been significantly being depicted by the employee who at first point spotted the bundle of money. Through her enlighten teleology, she managed to consult at first with her peers to look for the ways forward. However, this was met with different reactions and suggestions from the rest of the employees. The employees seemed to vividly weigh the consequences of the matter by presenting their interests before the organization. They seemed to have an egoism, which seeks to benefit only apportion of the section.

As observed by Shafer-Landau, (2014 ), economic values are by far the most excellent decision to make especially considering that the primary benefit is going to benefit the organization in one way or another. In this case, the decision of donating back the money to the organization if the owner never showed up was the only best choice for any ethically upright employee in that circumstances.

Questions:

Do low-income wages challenge the ethics of employees in the organization?

What is the possibility of the cashier ending up in a poor work relationship with the rest of the peers?

What is the main idea behind challenging the moral philosophy of the employees in the organization?
