Patient Database System
During any given week, Bridge Street Center registers between 400 to 450 patients who have appointments at the Center. The patient database system contains up to 90,000 patient records. There is a need for a robust patient database system that is linked to the Internet so as to permit the staff, external organizations, and visiting practitioners to communicate with ease and schedule appointments.

Wireless Network System
The IT staff at Bridge Street Center recently updated the network to offer a wireless network to enable all the staff, patients, and guests at the facility to access the internet easily and securely from any point within the building. This system is meant to serve all the patients, their families, and all the staff members, and this is an indication of the need for prompt securing of this system.
Virus Protection System
The staff at the Bridge Street Center have fears of their computers being affected by virus infections as this could lead to loss of files. The IT staff are required to develop a virus protection system comprising of desktop software such as antivirus and antimalware for the staff computers and desktops.
Security System
The staff at the Bridge Street Center also have fears of administrative account compromises. The IT staff are required to configure and manage a network firewall that will keep the networks secure from any malicious attacks.
Staff Database System
Bridge Street Center has a record of 73 professionals and dozens of volunteers in their staff database system. There is a need for proper records about the staff to be kept considering the fact that the staff is of all kinds from the IT technicians, patient support, to the dining staff. This system will be used by the management especially when creating the payroll.
These five systems are all in danger of “going down” and would need to be restored in the event of a power outage or disaster. In such a situation, the parameters to be considered include:
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) – It is the acceptable amount of data lag and it is measured in time. The patient database system is very crucial for Bridge Street Center, and the RPO should be at most one hour. The wireless network system is also crucial for all the people within the organization because all operations are performed over the internet. For this reason, the RPO for the wireless network system should be an hour. The RPO for the virus protection system is one hour. The network security system is very crucial and its RPO should not exceed an hour. On the other hand, the staff database system is not very critical, and it could be given an RPO of five hours (Kosutic, 2018) .
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) – It is the duration of time within which the systems should be restored to an acceptable service level after going down. The patient database system has an RTO of two hours, within which the systems must have gotten back up and running, and be available to the end user. The wireless network system has an RTO of three hours. The RTO for the virus protection system is two hours. The network security system is very crucial and its RTO should not exceed an hour. On the other hand, the staff database system is not very critical, and it could be given an RTO of seven hours (Kosutic, 2018) .
Business recovery prerequisites – These are the conditions that the company should provide to ensure that the disaster recovery site is always operational. These include:
Continued power supply at the disaster recovery site. The size of the uninterruptible power supply used depends on the amount of power drain.
Proper heating and cooling system for the disaster recovery site. A proper heating, ventilation, and air circulation (HVAC) system should be put in place.
Dropped ceilings and raised floors to ensure that the cables are safe from damage.
The location of the recovery site should be at a good distance from the primary site so that the two locations are not affected by a single event (Mata, 2018) .
Technical recovery prerequisites – Bridge Street Center has a storage room in the basement level, which holds all the servers that are used in the recovery process. The backup server and software are estimated to cost $18,000 (Mata, 2018) .
