Introduction 

A business plan is one of the most important initiatives and process that any organization needs as a part of its strategic planning. Room for desert work has been instrumental in helping individual and organization to define the direction and outline their measurable and attainable goals. It has presented itself as a strategic tool useful for guiding management in day to day decision. Through the case study, that article has also provided guidelines on how an organization might carry out their valuations progress and to tell when there is a need for a change of strategy to move forward ( Berry, 2000) . Among the most standing point in the article is the fact that any result oriented company should prioritize their energy on strategic objective they have outlined through realist goals that are thorough, well researched, quantifiable and result oriented. 

Room for dessert is perfect and can, therefore, be described as a book that has been written purposely to help the reader understand issues of coming up with a business plan. For this case, the author has dwelt on a business plan from a company called “Room for Dessert”. Room for dessert is a restaurant that has specialized in tea, wine, and spirits. The company shows how it is important to have relevant information that is essential in strategic objectives of the organization. RFD Company has identified their appealing and unappealing, markets ( Roberts, Michael & Joseph Lassiter III 2006). Such information will benefit the building state into the strategic planning process that needs goals evaluation. The information though has been based on hospitality industry can be applied in the various field and help in realizing the set objectives.
