One important resource at the CDC site is the CDC Prevention Guidelines Database. This resource contains insights involving how healthcare practitioners can curb the spread and infection of various illnesses. The resource is very crucial to nurses because one of the roles of nurses in healthcare is to prevent the spread or new infections of diseases (Edmonson et al., 2017). For example, nurses can use the information in the resource to ensure that the environment in which the patients are treated is clean, safe, and conducive. Secondly, the information in the resource directs nurses to educate patients on healthy living and strategies they can use to keep themselves free from infections.
Nurses using telehealth can benefit from the resources on the CDC site in various ways. Firstly, nurses can use the resources to update themselves on the new healthcare strategies that contribute positively on health outcomes. Since people’s lifestyles are changing, and new conditions are being diagnosed, novel intervention strategies are also being developed. Additionally, the new discoveries are not being published in books and even if they do, the books take a long time to circulate. An electronic source such as the CDC site is convenient provided a nurse has a smartphone or a computer and an internet connection (Bashir, & Bastola, 2018). Lastly, nurses are exposed to an array of crucial information, which can be obtained at one’s convenience.

I find the link very innovative because information which would have been written in voluminous books is compressed into an easily accessible site. The information is also organized into sections to make it easier for one to access only that content in which they are interested. Nevertheless, the site would have been more creative if an interactive feature was created. The feature would make it possible for nurses to interact with other healthcare professionals especially in emergency cases. Sometimes reading the content could be time-consuming in urgent cases.
