Centralization and decentralization are two commonly used terms when referring to the political structure of a country. Ideally, both terms are used to describe the administrative structures adopted in different countries. In a centralized country, decisions are solely made by the central government. Therefore, in a centralized nation, the power and authority to rule the country are vested in the central government. On the contrary, power and authority are devolved in a decentralized state. Decentralization is geared towards addressing issues that are not addressed by a centralized government. The two disciplines; centralization and decentralization may affect the citizens either directly or indirectly. One of the most significant areas touched by these two disciplines in unemployment. Unemployment is a common social issue in the society. Decentralization may help in bridging this gap by creating more job opportunities.
Devolution can be thought as the move by the central government to completely transfer authority and power to other local governments(e.g provinces) within the same country thus promoting devolution of public welfare. However, devolution should not be confused with decentralization. Devolution can be used as a solution to the social, economic and political challenges facing citizens. When public resources are devolved, citizens are able to access the resources thus promoting unity in the country. All resources in the country must be distributed equally so that every region may get an equal share of the national cake. Devolved welfare is undeniably the solution to an economically ailing nation. Devolved welfare gives equal opportunities to communities that feel victimized. Basically, devolution plays a key role in helping different social groups feel included in the leadership of the country.

Immigration has been a debatable subject in the United States since the 19th century. Immigration may affect the economic growth of a country in a negative or a positive way. Immigrants are viewed as the chief causes of the increased government spending as well as the reason for the increased cost of social living. There should be policies implemented to address immigrant roles and duties in foreign countries. But limiting immigration or implementing stricter laws to curb immigration may not help in solving social, political and economic challenges in the country. Immigrants should be given an equal opportunity in the society without dicsriminnation or any other form of injustice. The government must enact laws that protect immigrants rights, and allow them to participate in activities that contribute to the country’s economic growth.
