Leadership effectiveness is about executing a company's or organization's (be it in a social, economic, or political setting) vision either by redefining or improving it and setting the culture and tone. A leader is the epitome of any organization because they act as pioneers of securing resources, creating a plan, identifying, and improving errors (Ramos, n.d.). Leaders also ensure that a company's resources, like human capital and materials, are used appropriately and responsibly. A successful leader will easily help their team navigate the success journey by motivating them to work together to achieve the company's objectives and goals. The premise of this essay will be to discuss the merits of evaluation for the leadership qualities of an assistant coach, a minister, and a teacher. The paper will also prioritize and explain the rationale of these characters, challenges, and ethical issues associated with this prioritization and compare and contrast the three roles of focus's measurable leadership qualities.

Effective leadership requires that particular values and roles have to be critically observed followed. A leader is expected to inspire trust, be visionary, have an executive strategy, and have exemplary coaching skills. A leader can inspire trust by guiding and influencing team members to participate in joint efforts (Bank, n.d.). Effective leaders are not those that use a traditional approach of barking orders to the team; instead, they use motivation techniques like rewarding good performers and even engaging in group functions. Providing a vision for the team is an important role that effective leaders engage in. A visionary leader will define the organization's goals and objectives, thus helping the team focus on achieving these objectives. Once a vision is set, effective leaders must develop a strategy that members can adopt to achieve the set goals. Without a formula for success, a vision is as good as dead. Coaching is how an experienced person, also called a coach, helps develop and nurture another person who has lesser experience. An effective leader will use their expertise in a particular field to coach junior members in specific roles and improve their performance to a standard level that ensures the achievement of various organizational goals. It also involves guiding and training team members in their roles at work or social/economic/political jurisdiction. These roles are interlinked, and when collectively adopted, they may help a leader improve their effectiveness in foreseeing various functions within an organization.

An assistant coach is a leader in the sporting arena, and his "subjects" comprise players in a particular sport. A good assistant coach should prioritize coaching roles, be an inspiration to team members, and execute strategy. Gaming and sporting are very unpredictable, and it requires a team to strive to gain a competitive advantage over opponents. However, playing competitively goes beyond having the best players or skills on the field (Leithwood & Azah, 2016). This is where the role of an assistant coach comes in. He/she is required to use their experience of play and long-term study to help players change roles and apply their skills correctly through strategy execution to win in any competition. It makes it obvious that a good assistant coach should have experience as a player and coach too. When players learn that their assistant coach was an outstanding performer during their prime years as players, they feel inspired and strive to be like them. However, some ethical issues and challenges come by while assistant coaches try to prioritize their roles as mentors and inspirational leaders. Assistant coaches risk breaching protocol when they become too engaged in team affairs. They have a head coach ahead of them, thus they have to always consult with the head coach before implementing any rule or strategy that would see the team excel. Precisely, assistant coaches are limited by their positions on what they can do and what they cannot do (McQuerrey, n.d.). They have to uphold trust between them and the head coach and follow their leaders' directives before prioritizing their roles.

A teacher must be visionary and inspire trust roles among students. Teachers have t5he responsibility of educating students until they are knowledgeable and can lead a positive life after that. During teaching and learning activities, teachers must maintain a positive attitude and practice fairness. They should be caring so that they can be emulated by their students to act the same. They exclusively hold the vision of the learning process; thus, they should set realistic and achievable goals and, consequently, inspire them to greatness. However, when a teacher creates unrealistic goals for their students, it qualifies as an ethical issue (Michigan State University, 2019). Different students have different academic capabilities in class, so setting targets for a C-student to match an A-student is discriminatory.

The leadership style of a minister should be significantly defined by trust. Ministers should inspire their subordinates and citizens to be truthful in their endeavors. The reason is that ministers are exposed to large amounts, and they should be trustworthy not to embezzle funds and instead use them for their designated purpose. The challenge of prioritizing such trust is that other leadership qualities are diminished. A minister may inspire trust but cannot execute strategies that may help a ministry advance its efficiency and effectiveness. Precisely, the lack of balance between leadership qualities may be a hindrance to effective leadership.

An assistant coach's role is measured by his ability to deliver results and build a positive perception among players. They are required to build trust to achieve effective leadership goals, likewise to a minister who should create the trust between them, subordinates, and public funds because their leadership success is measured by the integrity they uphold in handling public funds. However, a minister's trust expectations are more than those of an assistant coach because ministers foresee the operations of massive funds and are accountable to the entire public of any nation. A teacher is expected to have a positive vision and work at their best to ensure that they offer genuine teaching practices alongside building a personal character that their students can emulate. Students' performance is often used to gauge a teacher's leadership style and teaching practice effectiveness. Contrarily, an assistant coach and minister have little to worry about a team's vision because the head coach can pioneer that. This does not mean that they should but be visionary, but the close relationship that teachers have with their students is incomparable with what a minister has with the public they account for.

In conclusion, effective leadership is the art of pioneering motive-driven intentions to team members and fostering unity of purpose so that an organization's goals can be achieved. As discussed in the essay's body, effective leadership depends upon various roles like being visionary, inspiring trust, executing strategy, and having coaching capabilities. However, these characteristics are prioritized differently among different professionals like assistant coaches, teachers, and ministers, as depicted in the essay's body. These qualities also act as a sufficient criterion for determining progress and performance in similar and different ways among the paper's mentioned professions.
