The purpose of this research paper was to analyze the connection between patterns of artistic consumption, social systems and production. In addition, the paper also explores the manner in which artistic gestures are categorized. The framework assists in the integration of different findings linked to the consumption survey. Moreover, it has been used as a way to which the development of new artistic genres is characterized by ritual classification. This research has established that different societies have differing artistic categorization structures whose variation is along four scopes (DiMaggio, 1987). The paper, however, fails to clearly illustrate how artistic culture impacts the society and its contributions to community welfare.
These scopes of variation include differentiation, universality, and hierarchy and boundary strength. What I found interesting was that all the four scopes are influenced by the formal traits of the social systems, the structure of education structures and the internal connections among different cultural scopes (DiMaggio, 1987). The undercurrents of ritual groupings are mediated regarding whether artistic production is undertaken via commercial or bureaucratic means and it also considers professionalism in artistic production. In spite of the fact that the research is different from the traditional methods, concerns associated with artistic sociology and which are linked to social determinants with thematic concerns as well as systems are critical.

As sociology is pushed by culture towards different questions connected to social structures, the main concerns of social structures and artistic genre categorizations permits sociologists to be part of the discussions about modern changes in culture. Most parts of the Western world have reached to the cultural declassification which implies the weakening and unraveling of ritual classification. Therefore, this paper has adequately addressed social cultures particularly the artistic cultures. Moreover, the paper has been effective in addressing different aspects linked to the artistic values in divergent cultures.
