Diversity may appear in several forms like gender roles, cultural groups, and race in the workplace. Kristen Pressner talks about how people can acknowledge irrational biases on women leaders. In workplaces, diversity does not only involve how individuals perceive themselves but how they identify others. For example, in the video, Kristen argues that men are seen as taking charge and women as taking care which is a form of bias. In diverse workplaces, several communication challenges happen when people assume the other party understands the message, and they have not. In the second talk, Tiffany elaborates on the concept of microaggression and how it affects people of color in workplaces. Additionally, Tiffany talks about the significance of inclusion and respect and asks people to be more careful while asking personal information questions.
As a diverse manager, one way of eliminating microaggression is by conducting training programs for my team to help them develop a more productive and inclusive working environment. Additionally, leaders are expected to create a supportive culture that will encourage the team members to respect and listen to one another (Rogers, 2020). To avoid bias in workplaces, a diverse leader should always encourage their team members to speak up about all forms of biases by developing a culture that supports open dialogue.

There are several techniques that can be used to support diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In my view, I would propose the use of five phases that include identifying the needs of people, evaluating people need in detail, developing diversity strategy, implementation and continuous monitoring of the strategic process ( Itam, & Bagali, 2018). Additionally, educating employees about differences about working groups is also a significant strategy that should be adopted in workplace.
