Our community is heartbroken and disabled today due to the events that have happened in the past few hours. As a core institution in the community, Bobsville University is on its knees. We were celebrating the advancement of our children as a community but the enemy saw it as the opportunity to attack us. During the university’s graduation, a deadly chemical agent, Kolokol-1 (mefentanyl dissolved in a halothane base) was released in the crown and the consequences are devastating. We have lost one hundred and seventy seven members of our community and families do not know how to recover from it. The chemical was deadly to the extent that its effects are still being felt many hours after the attack.
All safety and emergency response parties are on the ground working round the clock to ensure the consequences of the attack are minimized. The damage is slowly diminishing as every effort is directed towards helping those affected and reducing the after effects of the chemical. We are all overwhelmed and are receiving help from outside the community, up to the federal government level to ensure the attack is contained. The community is at a big loss of the 177 individuals we loved. The university may never fully recover from the attack and it will remain a scar for this small community.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
We are all still vulnerable to the effects of the chemical as the extent of its destruction may not have been fully determined. It is important that we all keep away from the area that was attacked as those with expertise in dealing with such attacks address the issue. Please stay in your homes and keep safe until we can determine it is safe for people to move around. If you have an emergency and have no option but to leave, we are circulating please contact the emergency personal who will avail themselves at your residence to offer the needed assistance.
Reflection
When conveying the information to the community, the communication accommodation theory was adopted. The theory focuses on one adjusting his or her communication style to accommodate others ( Gallois & Giles, 2015) . The community is currently in confusion and disarray. It would be important to consider everyone’s feelings, emotions and probable behavioral reactions to the attack ( Fisk & Vaarala, 2017) . Communication is therefore presented in a way that tries to calm them down while advocating for caution to prevent further loss from the attack.
The information shared is carefully analyzed to ensure that the community is well-informed of the gravity of the attack and the efforts that have been exerted to ensure the restoration of normalcy. The community also needs to be aware of the loss that has occurred to prevent negative reactions in the future in the case that critical information that was kept from the public is discovered. The information shared also serves to encourage the exercise of caution in the community to ensure that more damage is prevented while the security and emergency personnel are addressing the could be after-effects of the attack. The decisions made are geared towards ensuring community safety even as the attack is being addressed and that further loss of lives is prevented. The focus is to also identify all resources that can be implemented in addressing the consequences of the attack. It is also critical to recognize the inefficiencies in the security and emergency response strategies that were employed in responding to the attack. The decisions also encourage the analysis of these strategies to ensure that such an occurrence can be prevented or addressed efficiently in the future.
