One of the challenges of coming up with new ways of working, new products, or services is the organization's culture. There are ways in which employees in an organization are accustomed to do their daily operations. New ways of working interfere with what they are used to, and some are likely to be resilient towards the change (Luthans and Doh, 2018). An essential leadership function that can be used to address the challenge of culture is entrepreneurial leadership. In the leadership function, the role is to ensure that the organization's operations are creative. There are development and creation of new ways of doing business. The organization does not have to stick to its cultural way of doing business. There is a need for change through entrepreneurship to make the organization gain a competitive advantage. The leader will have to consider other employees' entrepreneurial skills by considering their opinions in the decision-making process.

The increasing rate of complexity due to volatility, uncertainty, and interconnectedness affects a business entity's operations. The main challenge arises from the risk that they may face in the future because of uncertainty. The situation makes the business operation to be complicated and hard to manage. However, with operational leadership as a function, it will be easy to take charge of the situation. In the function, the main aim is to take charge of what is happening in the organization both at the moment and future (Uhl-Bien & Arena, 2017). The manager's function will be to identify a problem and create contingency plans that will be effective in solving the problem in the future. The idea is to take charge and control so that it is easy to manage operations in the future.
