One of the challenges of coming up with new ways of working, new products, or services is the organization's culture. There are ways in which employees in an organization are accustomed to do their daily operations. The main challenge arises from the risk that they may face in the future because of uncertainty. The situation makes the business operation to be complicated and hard to manage. However, with operational leadership as a function, it will be easy to take charge of the situation. In the function, the main aim is to take charge of what is happening in the organization both at the moment and future (Uhl-Bien & Arena, 2017). The manager's function will be to identify a problem and create contingency plans that will be effective in solving the problem in the future. The idea is to take charge and control so that it is easy to manage operations in the future.
