Project Title: Construction of a bridge across the Mississippi river
Description: (Briefly describe the project)
The Pearl is a bridge that will be constructed to connect US Route 61 in the state of Arkansas and US Route 19 in Tennessee, both in the United States of America. The bridge will be one mile wide and will take three months to construct.
Describe how this project addresses a business problem or opportunity: (Strategic alignment)
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The villages on both sides of the roads have no access across the river into either Tennessee or Arkansas. The bridge will open up opportunities on either side of the river and grow the spirit of entrepreneurship among the residents of the two states.
Major Project Deliverables: (Briefly describe the physical output expected from the project)
The project will be expected to finalize the construction of the bridge across the one-mile wide Mississippi river. The bridge will be a mile wide across the river and will be 300 meters above the ground. The bridge will be constructed using steel to withstand possible earthquakes and will career for pedestrians.
Project boundaries: (What is included and what is not included)
The project will include the erection of streetlights across the bridge, and several snack stands for the pedestrians walking across the bridge. Toll stations will also be constructed on both sides of the river. The project will not lead to the construction of a gas station on the bridge and a bus station on either side of the river to carry people across it.
Estimated Cost: (A rough estimate of the total cost of the project)
The construction of the bridge, the erection of the streetlights, and the toll stations will cost $ 1 billion. The amount will lead to a smooth construction of the bridge from the start to the end.
Estimated duration: (A rough estimate of the total duration of the project)
The bridge construction will take three years to construct. During the period, the engineers will be working during the day in the building.
Major risks: (What are the major specific project-related risks associated with doing or not doing the project)
One of the risks associated with the construction of the project is the collapse of the bridge. This can occur if the project is a substandard one because of the weight of the vehicles passing across the bridge. Also, the builders may perish during the construction of the bridge. Lastly, if the bridge is not constructed, the boats used to cross the river may capsize and the users could be eaten by the alligators infesting the river.
