The three core values of the U.S Navy that encompass commitment, courage, and honor, make me have the feeling that I am part of a brave society. I feel like I have the duty to defend my country with all my might. Being a marine officer, I will feel obliged to carry upon my shoulders the cause of democracy and freedom beyond the borders of the United States. It is not just a matter of being part of the military force but part of the most privileged marine force in the world.

Commitment encourages ardent virtue as well as moral values as it instills in a person the duty to defend the country and the citizens. Additionally, commitment defines courage and honor since as a Navy officer; I will find it significant to honor my duties and responsibilities and also to carry them out with the courage that such roles and responsibilities deserve. I consider the three words as the words of political and personal continued existence. As an officer in the Navy, I have the feeling that the three words will always act as a reminder to me about my responsibilities and duties and the manner in which I should perform.
