Every organization has a set of goals that are structured to benefit the company. Through this; the organization has to work in accordance to ensure that the measurable objectives are accomplished within the set deadline. For this case, there is a great need to systematically plan on how to attain all the goals without skipping or omitting any (Balanced Scorecard Institute, 2018) . In addition to the above, the stakeholders in conjunction with the management gather all the necessary resources within the organization and distribute them to various departments of the organization to help improve that working conditions of the workers who in return reciprocates by responding positively to the organization’s goals achievement.

b. Strategic management.

It is a sequence of events within the organization that oversees all the activities planned to occur in an organization. Through this, junior managers’ report to the middle managers who in return submit their claims and ideas to the top manager who in this case is the overall decision maker.

c.The involved steps in strategic planning and management.

The concept of developing a strategic plan may be cumbersome to navigate around. Every organization has a set of its own sets of goals that ought to be considered. In this manner, most of the organization’s plans may vary from one organization to the other.

Writing a strategic plan

A strategic plan acts as a mirror. It is capable of showing where we are from, to keep us focused. On the other hand, the plan can be used to give a framework by asking the question of “Where are we,” and finally where we are heading ( Olsen, 2018 ). With the use of such a breakdown, it is easier to craft and monitor the functionality of the organization as well as ensuring that all the units of the organization are positively responding.

Through the use of a SWOT in strategic planning, the organization to understand the strengths of the organization and act in accordance to secure the readily available opportunities that will favor the weakness of the organization to help meet the strategies goals.

Secondly, under strategic management, there is a great need to know the direction of a business, this section echoes the mission statement of the organization by significantly working towards its final landmark.

Thirdly, the most significant challenge is determining how one will get to the final landmark as outlined by the plan. Adopting the correct steps with minimal setback is always regarded as the best option to fulfill the strategy.

Other than length and detail, how is a strategic plan different to a mission statement? Is the strategic plan a roadmap to complete the mission statement?

As observed by ( Cooper, 2017 ), there is a closer interrelation between the strategic plan and the mission statement. A strategic plan gives a comprehensive step that helps the organization meet its goals. However, all the planning is done in line with the mission statement of the organization. In other words, the mission statement is a roadmap that guides strategic plan in an organization.

Comments and the view of the topic

Every worker in the organization is determined to work hard to succeed either by profession or carrier. The fundamental concept that is depicted is that most of the newly

employed workers find it difficult concatenating their lifestyle with the organization’s culture. To help new workers settle in the organization within a short period, there is a need to supply that new employee each with a copy of employees’ handbook. With the provision of the book, employees can significantly refer or consult on the book what is not clear to them. On the other side, this helps the workers settle down quicker, helping the company meet its daily targets.

Most of the successful businesses today have thrived due to a couple of useful concepts such as good relationship with the workers. It has been widely used by most businesses as part of their culture. Developing a positive relationship with the employees helps to keep all the workers on one page, through this all the activities carried out, and energy is concentrated to one direction that fuels the mission statement of the business.

Unclear points

Brian Lowey points out that, “Be cautious of who are the people you want to be around, it is going to have a dramatic impact on how you look at life.”

Does the point put across warn us to keep a smaller circle of individuals and focus more on work to achieve what we have planned for?

How can a strategic plan be best communicated to the stakeholders?

Every strategic plan communicates a lot about the organization ( Rothaermel, 2015 ). The fate of any company lies in the hands of a well-crafted policy that determines the necessary aspects of the business and the market structure to be adopted.

In this manner, it is quite challenging to correctly determine that best and most suitable means through which a strategic plan may be communicated to the stakeholders. There are a couple of option on how best this can be handled ( Wheelen et al. 2017 ). To begin with, the standard means through which a plan may be communicated to the relevant stakeholders is trough top managerial meeting. At this point, most of the members are always present which include both the internal and external stakeholders. The conference aims to complete synthesis on the proposed plan and the possible threats that the program may yield.
