Argumentation is part and parcel of everyday discourse. Every social, economic and political setup improves people engaging in mature and practical arguments based on credibility and factuality. How individuals adhere to arguments is from a reasonable belief that what they claim and defend is true to their right and experience. Moreover, to convince other individuals to see your point of view, your statements' credibility is essential. Credibility is both a claim and support, which as a tool convinces decision-makers to trust an individual's argument and agree with their conclusion. The question now becomes how individuals can attain credibility, which allows them to be convincing in their arguments and sway people who oppose and the neutrals to become agreeable. Credibility can be considered in three angles, direct credibility based on the arguer's personality and reputation to be trustworthy to others. Indirect credibility uses the arguer's claims and statements to convince other and secondary credibility arguers to employ the reputation of those against them to render them unconvincing.
The practical application of the above concepts is vivid in most fields, especially in politics, where leaders' decisions affect things on a large scale. Credibility in politics occurs in two levels, when leaders are chosen and when chosen leaders in power, implement policies and federal laws. These leaders have to have credibility in reputation, argument, articulation and intellectual capacity to convince decision-makers to trust their process. Decision-makers in politics include the large population regarding voting and the government and the local authority when it comes to policy implementation. Both decision-makers and arguers who try to convince them in an argument must share beliefs, thinking and ideology in homophily for synchronization and credibility in coming together to make decisions. Credibility is given to an individual whom people believe can do what needs to be done.
