Interagency and Important of Understanding Cooperation to a Future SGM/CSM.

One of the significant interagency is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The agency obtains total foreign policy direction from the secretary of state. It works in close partnership with schools, universities, NGOs, and other governments. Its primary duty is to coordinate the United State Government's response to emergencies and disasters globally. USAID works in line with OFDA to coordinate direct USG response, embassy, and mission requests for disaster assistance, procurement, services, and transportation, among others.

As a future SGM, it is essential to understand the interagency cooperation is are involved in a different disaster response, which requires intelligence and agency coordination (Greer et al., 2018). The military relies on information from the US agencies and embassies in their area of operations. Besides, a wide variety of know-how is essential to generate victory in any battle, which necessitates the diversity of expertise for SGM. As a second-in-command to the CCDRs and JTF, SGM offers assistance using the knowledge of interagency to coordinate and lead the mission accordingly.
