Cultural intelligence or CQ has become vital in businesses today and mainly means to reflect the capability of dealing effectively with people who are from different cultural backgrounds. It is the ability of people to effectively interact with those who are culturally different. Cultural intelligent is vital, especially with globalization that has resulted from the growth of multinational corporations, an increase in the international migration, and growth of international growth. The importance of cultural intelligence has made many people come up with strategies that are aimed at developing the CQ strategy.
Strategies for Developing the CQ Strategy
Two strategies that I am currently devoted to starting using so that I can develop my CQ strategy include devising the learning strategies aimed at finding entry points into the new cultures. It is possible to know what is necessary even before entering the new culture through learning. However, for it to be possible, it is vital to first try to find out where to start. Even though the process can be overwhelming at first, there is need to find the points of entry into the new culture by taking a look at the clues to the shared understanding of the culture. Something about the members of the culture that seems to be puzzling or surprising can be considered to be the entry point into the culture ( Livermore, 2010) . The fact that there is lack of understanding of what is going on is a clear sign of the possibility of different shared understanding about the culture. Therefore, it can be a good point of asking questions or getting more information. Another good way of developing cultural intelligence and improving the ability to reason about a culture is reading case studies and also by spending time in thinking about the common threads.

The second strategy of developing the cultural intelligence strategy is by showing acceptance of people who are from other cultures. It is vital to note that it is not enough to tell people that individuals understand them, but it is also crucial that they clearly show them that they accept them. The best way of showing acceptance is through the actions of individuals. More specifically, acceptance can be shown by moving the body in the same way in which the members of the culture are doing ( Earley, 2006) . Imitating the mannerisms and gestures that are being used by members of the other culture shows the fact that a person from a different culture is thinking highly enough of them to the extent that they want to be like them. Acting the way the people from the other culture do is a simple way of establishing the kind of bond that is needed to be able to develop the CQ strategy. It does not mean that the learner wants to be like the people from the new culture or that it is an endorsement of everything that the culture stands for. It is a way of being true and a way of appearing genuine.
The Best Strategy
The best strategy which I would consider first is devising learning strategies to better understand the target culture. The strategy would help me have a better understanding of the culture in mind to better relate when I meet people from it and will help me to have a better understanding of the second strategy such as the traits that I need to copy from them. I will start the process on 15 th of October 2017.
Conclusion
Evidently, understanding the culture of other people has become vital in making sure that there is harmony between business people. It is more crucial considering the need to operate in international markets.
