Indicators of quality hospital experience
The four critical things that determine quality hospital experience include the quality of hospital staff, hospital statistics, hospital facilities, and access to the facility. Customer satisfaction among staff is evident in their competence, often judged by their interpersonal skills when interacting with colleagues and patients (Charlotte & Mats, 2019). Hospital statistics give vital information on infection rates and readmission rates which reflect success and efficiency of services offered in the hospital. Data on the average waiting time for services in the various units of the hospital also evaluate quality. Hospital facilities are used by customers to judge quality, their main concern being cleanliness of the hospital units and availability of standard equipment for service delivery (Kemp, Chan, McCormack & Douglas, 2015). Most customers regard access to hospitals a critical quality indicator, and proximity of the facility from homes and work-places means ease of travel hence prioritization.
