It is important for a manager to understand the responsibilities the skills and knowledge that their staff needs to have before they take up any job. There are cases where there might be a new staff member, and they require a job description of what they must be doing in the organization. It is the role of the manager to ensure they are fully informed of the duties and requirements. Also, the manager can play the role of reminding the employees what they forget to ensure there are uniformity and efficiency in performance. Certifications such as CMAA, RHIT, and CCS have a value. There are vital duties like verifying insurance coverage, arranging patient hospitalization, scheduling and confirming appointments that the people with the certificates above carry out. They must work hand in hand with the nurses and the doctors to ensure service delivery is perfect. It is important for me as a student to review progress in acquiring these skills to ensure that the lessons that I take are not in vain. Also, it is a way of checking whether I am getting the concepts and the skills taught in the course. In short, it is a self-evaluation technique that helps one in gauging themselves and understanding how competent they are. The advice that I can give to my classmates is that, for them to be successful in class they need to ensure that they do not take anything for granted. There are practice activities that require individuals to run some projects in their places of work or other stations. If one overlooks them, then he or she might not get the required knowledge gained in practical. Also, completing all thee assignments and lab reports is very important since most of them are repeated in the final exams.
