In the study, data was collected using a descriptive survey method that contained demographic questions. The survey also contained open-ended questions. The major aim of the survey was to assess the current state and needs of EBP implementation in nurses in the United States (Melnyk & Kaplan, 2012). The survey was conducted over email, and it contained questions that the respondents were supposed to answer. The drawback of the survey method of data collection include: In most case, the respondents are not willing to provide the requires information, it is characterized by human bias of respondents meaning that the respondents provide inaccurate information; and it is difficult to formulate the questions in a manner to that they will mean the same to various respondents, thus leading to differences in understanding (Nardi, 2018).
