The participants for the study will be probation officers, social workers, and clinical officers within Cook Juvenile court Probation. Therefore the inclusion criteria will be as follows. First, the participants will be workers within the Cook Juvenile court Probation, as this will make it easy for the data collection process. Second, the participants will be both male and female 18 years and above. Third, only those who shall have been within the facility for more than four years will qualify for the study.

There are more than 200 potential respondents within the department. However, the study may not cover all the potential participants. Therefore, an online calculator will be critical in determining the sample size. For the study, the confidential level will be 90%, with an approximate population size of 200 and margin errors of 10%. Therefore, the total sample as per the online calculator is 51. There will be a sampling process towards the determination of the sample size. Snowball sampling will be the best for this research because the research study will be focusing on a single department ( Yates &Leggett, 2016). With a snowball, the researcher will first determine specific responses under each category. Each of the respondents will then refer the researcher to those who can also provide more information on the topic. The process will continue until the researcher gets a total of 51 participants.

Data Gathering and Data Sources

For this research study, the data sources will be the people who will provide information based on their experience within the department. Therefore, the researcher will employ numerous data collection techniques to gather information. First, the interview will be critical for this study. There will be a group interview where the research will divide the sample into three groups. The first and second groups will have twenty people, while the last group will have eleven people. The group interview will be useful in gathering a large quantity of data within a short time. The survey questionnaire will also be good for the study to increase the precision with no interference. Lastly, there will be a small focus group discussion with the participants to gather more data on the topic.

Anticipated Outcome

Regarding the quality of the data collection method and the precision of the sampling that will be part of the research study, in this case, the results are likely to be precise. The accuracy of the results will be high because of the diversity of respondent's diversity.

Ethical Challenges

Ethics is a critical part of a scientific research study. The first challenge will be ensuring that all participants sign consent form authorizing their participation. Therefore, drafting and emailing each participant, the consent form will be the strategy to deal with the challenge. Also, some participants may not be comfortable providing their identities. Therefore, the best way to address such concerns will be to have a high standard of confidentiality (Nurminen, 2016). Assigning different names to the participants would be the best way to solve the challenge. Also, acquiring ethical approval for the research may be tedious and take a lot of time.

Results communication

After data gathering, there will be analysis to refine the data and ensure that the accuracy is good for the study. The data presentation will be in the form of a pie chart and tables. Graphical comparison can also be critical for clarity and ease of reading and interpretations. The Cook Juvenile court Probation management and other parties of interest will get the results. Also, it will be made available on the internet to aid research and contribute to the topic.
