The article “ Deist monster: On religious common sense in the wake of the American Revolution” by Christopher Grasso is concentrated with the aspect of deism. The author’s primary purpose is to prove the vital role played by deism, especially in challenging the religious views of the Americans and shaping the sense of religion among the founding fathers of today’s America. The author presents a clear thesis to introduce the reader to the main points in the article.
