Every organization anticipates for change in its course of operation. However, the process of changing from one point to another is associated with several barriers. For example, in an organization, resistance from the employees is the leading cause of barriers changes. The essay concerns a Delta Pacific Company (DPC) whose aim is to change its culture from a traditional manufacturing environment to the one that is contemporary consulting. Therefore, as the leader of the company, the essay illustrates how I can create a suitable strategy to encounter all barriers to change.
Assess the Potential Barriers to Changing an Organizational Culture
There is a likelihood of limited understanding concerning the impact the change will have on the company. More so, the change will encounter other barriers such as negative attitudes from employees, inadequate and ineffective communication (Robinson et al., 2016). On the other hand, it may face challenges due to insufficient resources to facilitate the transition process.

Analyze Change Strategies Appropriate For This Type of Change
As a leader of the company, first of all, I will have to establish a situational analysis factor by enquiring about the impact the change will have on the company. By so doing, I will identify the optimal speed that is needed for the change. Finally, I will analyze and consider the best methods to manage any barrier that manifests in the process of implementing the change.
Determine Potential Employee Resistance Behaviors
Some employees will begin to show laziness in their jobs. The other will start to come to work being very late than usual. More so, there is likelihood that others will voluntarily notify the company for their transfer to other companies (Robinson et al., 2016). Most disappointing, a number of them may decide to quit without liaising with the managers and the office in general.
Determine the Best Way to Influence Employees in the Right Direction
The best approach is to lead by an example. As a leader, I need to exhibit desired behaviors to employees. The actions of managers and other leaders in a company usually influence the behaviors of employees. For example, for the above scenario, the leader should show a positive attitude towards embarking on a new change for the organization. By so doing, the employees will change their negative opinions concerning the transition from tradition manufacturing environment to the one that is contemporary consulting.
