Clay Scroggins is an excellent example of a good leader, since if no one is following you then; I think you cannot be a good leader. As for me, I think that one of the defining characteristics of a good leader being in a position to work with a group of individuals so that they can achieve good results. In my point of view, a given idea of "self-leadership" can better be expressed with the perception of "self-motivation" which is better off the match with a very diverse form of thinking one that deviates from leadership. Just like Clay, a leader is a consensus builder. Everyone that surrounds him knows the role they are expected to play so that things can go as presumed.
I believe that being a good follower especially in one’s job is to become conscious of the needs of other people. If I were to become a good follower, then it means that I should learn from the people I work with and know what upsets them and what motivates them. Also, I believe that if in my job I was to meet a manager or co-worker one who has rabid political beliefs I should not just keep arguing and fighting with them all the time, it is good to follow since I recognize the part is less risky and simpler.
