My proposed study (Nursing Research Method) has a number of sources collected and used to build credibility of the research. First is the article titled, "Nurse Decision Making" by Parker (2014), in which Parker outlines the study about decision making in nursing practices. Secondly, the article cites Creswell (2013); where theory is defined as a set of interrelated concepts (or variables) and definitions that are formed into propositions or hypotheses to specify the relationship among the constructs (Creswell, 2013). The third evidence is drawn from (Reeves, Albert, Kuper, & Hodges, 2008); who claim that each theory give difference lens for a particular problem in question. The definition of “Concept” is given as an abstract representation of specific part of the theory and cited (Polit & Beck, 2014). The fourth evidence is drawn from Lauri and Salantera (2002), which is a citation within a citation and used by Parker to compare his results with the results provided by Lauri and Salantera in their research. Other citations are: (Polit & Beck, 2014), (Johnson & Webber, 2010), (Reeves et al., 2008), and (Polit & Beck, 2014; Sandelowski, 1993).
The article titled, “Use of Theoretical and Conceptual Frameworks in Qualitative Research. Nurse Researcher” by Green (2014) cites various different theories. For instance, the theory of “Conceptual Framework” draws concepts from various theories and findings to guide research (Parahoo, 2006). Frameworks are maps for study and offer rationale for the development of research questions or hypotheses (Fulton & Krainovich-Miller, 2010). In another theory, Rather et al (2012) use “Grounded theory” to discuss the conceptual model where they suggest that theory generation comes from the data. According to Green (2014), grounded theory is based on the epistemology of symbolic interactions (Curtis et al., 2012). Other cited sources in the Green’s article include (Robson, 2002), (Strauss, 2008), (Hall et al., 2013), (Latter et al., 2004), and (Abbott, 1988; Witz, 1992).
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Although the different articles cite different sources, they display a common theme in their findings as long as the research is based on the same subject. Researchers use various sources to obtain the information they are searching for. It is common to find that different researchers cite different sources for the same subject of research.
