Subject: REQUISITION OF MORE INFORMATION ON THE MURDER CRIME STATISTICS IN THE AREA
Date: July 1st, 2016
Criminal activities have been on the rise in Western District, Big City, USA in the last one year despite the efforts made by the law enforcement agencies in the district. Among the crimes committed in the region, murder is the most plethoric. That has been the same case in the other parts of Big City and also in the other urban areas and mega regions in the United States of America. Some of the cities with an increase in the murder crimes are Waco in Texas, south bend and Indianapolis in Indiana, Chicago in Illinois, and Baton Rouge and New Orleans in Louisiana. That was according to reports given by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) ( The Bismarck Tribune , 2017). The analysis of the murder cases was submitted in Western District, Big City. However, the information was not wholly satisfactory. Therefore, I request more information from the LE intelligence analysis regarding the following topics.
Asking the right questions
From the report of the analysis of the murder crimes in the western district, big city, it was clear that the appropriate questions to investigate the crimes were not covered. As a result, there exists an information gap in almost all the particulars of the murder crime statistic report. The questions in a murder crime scene have to ask the witnesses shortly after the occurrence since the human memory keeps fading with time. The questions and answers in the investigation report reveal a poor coverage of the crimes. The questions in a murder crime scene are supposed to cover the perpetrator, the method used, and the specific act that took place (Maggio, 2017).
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Written and oral communications
In the investigations made at a crime scene, it is inherently vital to document the witnesses' accounts and narrations (Byrd, 2018). Some of the techniques used to achieve the documentation are writing and oral communications. However, the investigators may encounter several barriers in the documentation. Some of them are language barriers and a breach of privacy according to the witnesses' perspective. To overcome such impediments, the LE Intelligence analysts need to assure the narrators that their identity will be maintained as anonymous in the analysis of the reports. I will require the pieces of evidence of the written and oral communications to enable me to make decisions on the sufficient deployment of personnel to deal with the murder crimes in Western District, Big City. The interactions can also be maintained as records in the murder crime statistics (Byrd, 2018).
Privacy
The cutting edge of modern technology in the United States of America has provided the intelligence analysts with an opportunity to conduct logical investigations pertaining murder cases. For instance, a murder case in Bentonville, Arkansas, in the United States of America was recorded by an Echo device designed by Amazon. The police collected the device and presented it to the investigators at the court to be part of the evidence. Such devices introduced in Big City will ensure the LE intelligence analysts conduct their surveillance on murder cases without having to worry about how they will convince the witnesses into entirely confiding with them in the investigations (Carman, 2016). Therefore, I will need the analysis to cover the witnesses' real identities just like in the device designed by Amazon.
Information sharing
The act of information sharing in a murder crime scene has been debated all over the United States of America. Several researchers have linked information sharing with the breach of the privacy in the various parts of the country. On the other hand, other researchers in the United States have related information sharing to intelligence. Information sharing achieves intelligence by connecting all the data sources used in the investigation of a particular crime such as murder. The use of the online databases and internet sources in Western District, Big City and even in the United States of America as a whole is imperative to understand how to share the information without leaking sensitive information such as the personal details of the witnesses (Camacho, 2017).
Use of intelligence
The use of intelligence in a crime scene such as murder in the United States of America has been increasing every day. Intelligence can be vastly used to analyze the crime scene involving murder in the different parts of the United States of America, such as western district, big city. The questions asked in the analyst's report indicated a low level of the necessary intelligence being used. For instance, the information regarding who, how and what of the murder acts in the district have not been adequately covered in all the particular cases. Where included, the data has been jumbled up and therefore making the report incoherent. I trust the LE Intelligence Analyst will solve that (Rossy et al., 2013).
Analysis
The analysis of the information collected by the crime scene investigators is the next integral step in obtaining the witnesses' answers to the various questions targeting the explanations on the crime scene. As I went through the LE Intelligence analysis report, I realized some of the aspects of the analysis are not consistent with the particulars of the murder crimes conducted in Western District, Big City. The analysis should also involve all the witnesses' contact details, their place of residence, and their association with either the perpetrator or the victim of a murder conducted within Western District. The analysis of the murder crime report indicated that the investigators used lead questions that may have tampered with the memory of the witnesses in the unfolding of the happenings (Maggio, 2017).
U.S Constitution
The constitution in the United States of America is one of the most fundamental unifying factors for the American people. According to the constitution, the suspected perpetrators are not guilty until proven by a court of law. That means that the police in western distinct, Big City can only arrest the suspects of the crime until a court of law finds them guilty of the offense. In the LE intelligence analysis that was provided for the murder scenes report, the suspects of the crime have been listed as guilty even though they have not been tried in a criminal court. I will require the analysis to provide how it has upheld the constitution of the United States of America.
Intelligence outcomes
In a matter involving a murder scene in the United States of America, the analysis of the intelligence usually has a range of the expected results. Fundamentally, the intelligence has to come up with the essential details concerning a murder crime scene. Such information may be collected from the witnesses and may include the victims and the perpetrators' information, for example, their names and relationship with the witness if any. The other outcomes expected are the collaboration with the law enforcement agencies, and the request for policing in the affected areas, depending on the intensity and frequency of the murder rate (Carter & Carter, 2015).
Law enforcement
Policing all over the United States of America has made significant advancements in integrating intelligence. That has seen the rates of crime in the various cities across the country reduce. However, the use of intelligence in policing has to be strategic to be efficient at reducing crime in the different parts of the United States of America (Coyne & Bell, 2011). Law enforcement and the intelligence in Western District, Big City, in the United States of America have increasingly been on the rise and have had a promising future for the crime reduction in the city. Such information will be useful in the analyst's report. It can be obtained from the federal, state as well as the local resources in Big City.
