The articles from both the New York Times and Toronto star seems to have the same characteristics when it comes to language usage. They employ sarcasm to some point because if one can check the headline, to some point, it has irony in it for instance "trump lack news in his speech" makes it sarcastic to the readers. In most of the cases, the authors do not add their own opinion, but they mostly paraphrase the statements when they are reporting. Paraphrasing is a complex task sometimes because if the author fails to do it correctly, it might change the meaning, therefore, misleading the readers and painting a bad picture not only to the person who said the words but also to the paper.
