Human trafficking as a problem
Human trafficking is one of the problems that have affected many people in the world. Trafficking of human beings has become one of the challenges that many authorities around the world are struggling to do away with. The latter refers to the kind of trade of human beings mainly for sexual slavery, forced labor and even for commercial sexual working. Trafficking also has moved to another level where it entails providing a wife in the context of forced marriage whereby in other situations it encompasses extraction of organs or tissues from the human bodies for oval removal or surrogacy. Instances of human trafficking include enslaving of people to work under forced labor in farms and also for carrying out forced sexual activities. Other cases involve working in houses as a nanny or maid. Those who are carrying out these illegal activities of trafficking human beings have always used drug abuse as a defence mechanism against this violation of human beings. Since human trafficking is a violation of human rights, those who are involved in the practice are always prosecuted when arrested conducting the illegal activity since it is wrong to hold another social event against his will ( Lederer, & Wetzel, 2014) . Trafficking activity entails fraud against the victims who are coerced against their will.
Drug abuse has been used by a trafficker to play a significant role in the process. As a psychological defense, the drugs have been used as strategies to distort reality, manipulate and deny the4 victims the ability to reason correctly to see what is being done. Many of the victims who have been involved in human trafficking are vulnerable to drug abuse and substance abuse which makes them be under the influence of drug problems and addiction in general. Research ci9nducted has shown that most of the victims who are trafficked are forced or coerced to be under the influence of drugs so that the traffickers can be able to control them especially in cases that involve escaping with them to other areas. Some of the victims turn to use using drugs and substance abuse to help them escaper their desperate situations or cope with the mentality. Many victims struggle with drug abuse, while some of them end up losing their lives. Human traffickers have been highly associating with the culture of using drugs and substance abuse to control the victims who are involved in their illegal business. The traffickers prefer drugs because of reasons which include making the recruitment process easy. The traffickers target their victims by inducing them to medicines which help the trafficker to transport the victims from one place to another ( Reid, 2013) . Drug trafficker also induces drugs to the victims as a mechanism of controlling their victims. The means of controlling the victims takes place during the trafficking process in which the traffickers do not want the victims to know the routes they are suing or recognizing where they are. Other reasons for inducing drugs during the trafficking process include punishing the victims and or reducing the ability of the victim to resist transportation. Other includes run away and homeless young people plus people who are under the influence of abject poverty. Many of the countries in the world experience human trafficking are it the countries of origin, the transit countries and the destinations.
Causes of human trafficking
As one of the global most complex and heartbreaking issues, human trafficking is caused by various reasons which include traffickers. Traffickers are willing to apply and employ every means to capture their target for their gains. Traffickers utilize their preys’ weakness which provides for unfamiliarity, inexperience and unfortunate circumstances to exploit the victims. Majority of the traffickers are trained on how to identify their victims. Lack of knowledge and experience on how to be careful in life, broken families, and some cultural practices has been attributed to creating vulnerability ( Srikantiah, 2007) .
Vulnerability is another factor which in many cases involves a lack of being careful in whatever context the victims are found. The situations which create vulnerability include poverty, unemployment, displacement, broken families and lack of experience. The use and abuse of drugs have become deeply rooted in this field of human trafficking where the majority of the victims are lured by the traffickers, given drugs and transported without their knowledge. Many cases have involved drug trafficking have been based on the victims being offered powerful drugs and substances by their traffickers, thus ending up in places where they end up becoming victims of abuse ( Logan, Walker & Hunt, 2009) . Some victims have admitted to drugs and content abuse for the first time by their attackers who are the traffickers.

Human trafficking has had different severe consequences on both victims and society. One of the impact that trafficking cause on the victims is both psychological and physical trauma which usually results from the dehumanization and objectification that the victims go through. The innate power of the victims, dignity and visibility become obscured, thus making it difficult for the victims to believe in themselves. The victims go through a lot of psychological trauma during and after the trafficking process. Stress develops, difficulties in relationships are experienced, and depression and loss of memory follows as some of the victims end up committing suicide. Ostracism is another serious that trafficking cause whereby the individual who is involved tend to be isolated from their families, relatives and friends. Some of the individuals who end up being released from the trafficking situation end up becoming notorious members of some gangs in the community since they feel guilt and isolate ( Shelley, 2010) . Therefore the majority of the victims end up living nondependent life where they last in depending on drug and substance abuse.
Human trafficking has emerged to be one form of illegal business that is taking place in the underworld. Due to the high rate at which human trafficking is taking place, other illegal; activities have started to emerge. Some of the events that have resulted from human trafficking include drug trafficking, organized gang crimes and insecurity. Many people have died from the illegal human trafficking activity being carried out by gangs which have developed around many countries of the world to control this type of trade. The groups are mainly involved in drug trafficking, which is very sensitive, thus making the gangs to be armed too with most catastrophic weapons. Thus, in the process of exchanging fire with the security forces, some of the victims who are on the trafficking process end up being killed. Other bad cultures, such as prostitution have been bone for this culture of human trafficking, which has caused the loss of many lives ( Shelley, 2013) . Apart from prostitution, many other and other unwanted practices, trafficking of both human beings and drugs are illegal activities that have severe effects on both the general society and the world.

Human trafficking has led to the spread of some diseases, which include the most catastrophic one of the HIV/.AIDS. HIV has become one of the conditions that have given the community a lot of challenges since many of the people who are affected are the energetic young people. The young generation is also the one that society is depending on in terms of developing the future generation. Human trafficking is also associated with the implication of mental health challenges which in one way, the other causes severe problems to those who it affects the majority of whom are victims of human trafficking. Since the majority of the victims undergo assault and abuse, most of them develop low-self-esteem, which in many cases; it has led to the loss of confidence and morale. Some of the activities that have resulted from human trafficking include drug trafficking, organized gang crimes and insecurity ( Aradau, 2004) . Many people have died from the illegal human trafficking activity being carried out by gangs which have developed around many countries of the world to control this type of trade.
Since human trafficking has been on the rise, there are some measures and solutions that can be put in place to reduce the risk and other harmful vices that are associated with its connection with drugs. One of the general means that can be applied is the carrying out public campaigns to inform the public of the consequences that are associated with human and drug trafficking. Carrying out public and online attacks will make the society aware of the implications that the issue poses to the community and how careful people need to be to avoid being victims to the targeting traffickers. People should also be informed of the signs that are associated with human trafficking which includes poor living conditions together with poor mental health are some of the challenges that can be reported to the public to be aware since traffickers target such kind of people ( Fernandez, 2013) . Helping survivors is also another method that can be used to help those who have survived since they too are easily targeted by the drug traffickers who are always on the watch out.
The article reveals to us how catastrophic human trafficking has become to society and the human world at large. Thus, it is our duties as individuals to fight this vice by putting our voices together and going against it vigorously. Many people’s lives have been ruined by using drugs as defense mechanisms towards one of the worst practices taking place in the world. The use of drugs has also been advanced in our society by the process of trafficking, which has spoiled some families even caused harm to some members. Sanity in the organization and the developed of upright morals are some of the pillars that can create a peaceful and social environment that does not mess with the lives of others as drug and human trafficking is doing of current. The governments need to put in place strict rules that can be used to discipline those who are involved in the activities concerning the abuse of human rights. Volunteering is a free service that people can help in fighting some of the contrary vices currently challenging society.
