A document highlighting a risk management plan is used by organizations to predict possible risks and providing suggestions that could be applied for mitigating the risk occurrence chances (Sheppard, 2018). In health care institutions such as hospitals and clinics, there are several threats that are prevalent, causing a severe concern to healthcare facility management. Lack of continuous training is one of the issues that the healthcare sector is facing, with the healthcare providers being at risk of being affected with the level of expertise required to respond to emerging risks and duties in the course of work. The educational program enhances the ability of health care providers to engage in emerging technological practices that improve the healthcare providers such as Electronic Healthcare Systems, biomedicine, and communication (Singh et al., 2012). This paper presents an analysis of the educational program on risk management.

Rationale and Support

The educational management program addresses the challenges faced by health care institutions concerning lack of training that affect the level of expertise among staff for risk management. The entire health care sector highly depends on the educational program to ensure the staff and management remains in the most suitable position of mitigating different types of risks. With the risk management plan provided, training from different sources has the capability of improving the ability of health care employees to mitigate up 80 of risks (Grob, 2005). Major topics in the educational program on risk management include documentation, patient records, and incident reporting, which can enhance the ability of the health care facility management to mitigate possible risks.

Implementation

The implementation of the plan is based on the standards of risk management plans. The steps used in the plan include the establishment of the context that the plan will be implemented, which will include documentation, patient records, and incident reporting and responding (Alam, 2016). The next step will incorporate risk identification, whereby risks associated with a lack of continuous training in the healthcare sector are identified. The risks are then analyzed in the third step by identifying the risk level, causes, and possible ways to apply for the educational program as a control measure. The last step will include managing risk.

Challenges

The challenges associated with the implementation of the risk management plan include a lack of leadership commitment to ensuring the programs receive enough financial support. Lack of financial support then becomes a challenge as educational programs should be conducted repeatedly within a certain period, such as twice a year for the program to be effective. AS

Evaluation

The American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) is the corresponding MIPPA approved body relevant to the risk management plan in this paper (Grob, 2005). Educational program on risk management and Prevention plan comply with ASHRM since it conforms to interventions listed by ASHRM. Some of the met interventions include online training resources, annual in-service training, and weakly case conferences with clinicians.

Opportunities

Although the educational program tends to be in compliance with the set measures, some additional recommendations are provided. It is recommended for the utilization of technology in providing training such as video conferencing and satellite broadcasts (Grob, 2005). The training approaches should be developed in the ways that dedicate time in reviewing risk management policies and procedures. ASHRM is recommended to develop a comprehensive and ongoing education agenda for health care centers on risk management. The agenda should incorporate less expensive ways of conducting training.

In conclusion, educational program on risk management in the health care sector is significant as it provides the required knowledge for expertise to continue operating on the level that enables them to handle emerging issues and mitigate other risks.
