To many societies, God has been the supreme power that controls everything on the planet. Over the course, I have learned that the Egyptians also share the same thought. However, in the Egyptian context, God is referred to neter , to whom, the ancient Egyptians did not have a proper definition. Otherwise, in the Egyptian context, God is sacred, divine, and holy. Also, to Egyptians, God appeared in so many forms from woman to a serpent. For these reasons, both the ancient and modern Egyptians have more than one god whose name varied with the expected duties.
In the Egyptian meaning of God, one constant thing is that the many Egyptian gods were a combination of both animals and human. Thus, understanding the meaning of Egyptian God has always been a passion. Otherwise, when I learn that animal gods could have been used to express dietary moods, I get to understand why there is a ferocious lion as one of the Egyptian gods. Also, there is a notion of having an animal god with the human body in the Egyptian understanding of God, which is used to portray power. Therefore, another thing that stands in both the gods that are presented in animals and those that are a combination of both animals and humans is the representation of power and feelings.

As much as the Egyptian meaning of God might not be different from other societies’ understanding, there is a representation of ancient figures that I have realized that are only common in the Egyptian perspective. It is also uncommon for other societies to have gods for almost everything they have like the Egyptians, which I feel puts the meaning of god on unmatched levels.
