An environmental campaign is a lobby with the motive of sustainability. It is the ability of the environment to remain in its state of diversity and be able to produce all that it requires for the ecology to stay in a state of balance. Sustainability comes in three different pillars; First, the economic development in ensuring that those who live within an environment can sustain themselves regarding earning and supporting their daily living. The second aspect is a social development which is concerned with how those who live in a particular locality or environment relate with one another and finally environmental protection. It requires us to conserve nature so that it can continue supporting life. Therefore, this paper is gratified to address the several problems that an environmental campaign faces.

Several campaigns are going around the globe that aims towards changing the environment from its depleting state to its desired state. There are different forms of environmental campaigns that address various environmental issues. Environmental movements which consist of activists, organisations and even sympathisers of the depleting environment have chipped in to tackle the massive depletion of the natural resources. According to Nisbet et al ., 2012, o ther deals with water-related environmental problems, trees, and the green earth, some with fossils, some with the dumping of waste matters.

An example of such campaigns includes Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) is an organisation that is geared towards educating, empowering and informing women and men who care about the environment and they campaign on environmental and health issues from the female perspective. WEN has achieved much relating to environmental protection for sustainability over the years but has been challenged as well in the course. Several other organisations have faced challenges on during their pursuit of achieving their sustainable environment objective.

Some of the challenges WEN has faced over the years include poor solidarity from within. Some members have failed to rise in one accord in achieving a common goal. Some have been unable to embrace the group responsibility objective to its aims, instead of some settle for their interest activities. Some of the environmental organisations have had dialogue issues with their hosting governments that have derailed their right course since these nations are not of the ideas that might see them losing their economic ventures.

Politics has always played a very critical role in the campaigns against environmental pollution or rather degradation . Through this, governments establish wrong and sided policies that restrict the operations of the environmental organisation . Some governments have long tiresome procedures that discourage the establishment of such organisation . In a way, it's an adverse effect on the environment. Within the governments, there is the misappropriation of funds that are allocated towards driving the course of environmental protection. And they also take it upon themselves as an initiative to teach the public the adverse effect of environmental degradation. Due to bad politics, WEN has not had the privilege to settle in some countries however much they are willing to.

These environmental campaigns face financial challenges to drive their activities. These organisations have the best ways of doing things, but they lack sponsors of their projects. An example is WEN that depends on the member's contributions to drive its projects to need and to run the organisation as well. The organisations have to delay the execution of their plans as they lobby for funds to drive their campaigns. The organisation cannot even conduct community-based environmental education and cultivate knowledge in the people and community.

Environmental conservation is a key global responsibility that each and every nation and individual is assigned. The effects of a bare earth no one can sustain as severe consequences would characterise it. Therefore, the campaigns are supposed to get full support for the betterment of every individual living on the surface of this poor earth (Newig and Pahl-Wostl, 2010)
